Meet the jury of Patchwork

The City of Poperinge launched the open call Patchwork on February 1, an open investigation into Watou 3.0. Curator Koen Vanmechelen invites artists, both young and older artists and from all disciplines, to think about the future of the Waotu Arts Festival from 2022 on. Meet the jury of Patchwork.

A diverse and internation jury, chaired by Koen Vanmechelen will select the participants based on cv, portfolio and motivation. The jury has been composed and the names of the members are known:

  • Marjan Doom (director of the Ghent University Museum)
  • Sabiha Keyif (art historian and curator)
  • Manfred Nowak (professor, University of Vienna; director, Vienna Master of Arts in Human Rights; secretary general, Global Campus of Human Rights)
  • James Putnam (independent curator and writer; Contemporary Arts and Cultures Porgramme, British Museum)
  • Jill Silverman van Coenegrachts (JSVCprojects; International Design Expeditions)
  • Hans Van Dyck (professor UCL, Louvain-la-Neuve)
  • Loes Vandromme (Flemish Member of Parliament; Deputy Mayor of Culture in Poperinge)
  • Koen Vanmechelen (LABIOMISTA)
  • Peter Verhelst (auteur; curator Kunstenfestival Watou 2021)
