Niels Albers
Woerden, 1983
Niels Albers is a Dutch artist and designer living and working in Amsterdam. In 2010, he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Audio-Visual department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. After obtaining a Master of Interior Architecutre at the Sandberg Institute in 2018, he was a founding member of Fabulous Future, a collective dedicated to combining research, development and construction of spaces, events and situations. His great talent is making the most wonderful ideas technically and practically concrete preferably by building design, this can be seen in some of his works in public spaces, among others. Niels engages in research into the relationship between humans and animals, with a genuine concern for the impact of the human species on our planet’s ecosystem. All this from a fascination with origins, play, maps, routes and maps. Anthropocentric concerns mixed with an architectural fetish.
