Getting there

Reception points

Reception points can be found at Tourism Poperinge (Grote Markt 1) and at the festival house in Watou (Watouplein 12).

By car

Follow the E17 in the direction of Kortrijk and then the A19 in the direction of Ypres. Keep following the A19, take the exit and continue on the N38. Follow the signs to Poperinge or continue to Watou.

In Watou you can park for free in the peripheral car parks (see map below). Watou square is car-free. Only holders of a parking pass for persons with disabilities may park there. There is also a charging point for electric cars.

By bicycle

Enjoy the beautiful countryside in Poperinge and the Westhoek and come to Watou by bicycle.

There are several places in the area where you can rent bikes.

At Poperinge station, you can borrow shared bicycles from Blue-bike. You can find them in the bike shed near the station building. For all info on how to use bikes, surf to Blue-bike’s website.

By train

You can travel by train to Poperinge station. Watou is 9 km from Poperinge station. Rent a Blue Bike at the station or take your own bike on the train.

By flexbus

From Poperinge, De Lijn’s flexbus runs to Watou. You can book your ride via Hoppin.

Pro tip: Don’t wait too long to book, the system works on a first-come-first-serve basis. So the earlier you book, the more chance you have of a smooth connection to your travel route.
